Give Away Today

Has anyone seen giveawaytoday.blogspot.com? As far as I understand it, one of the girls from Good Things Utah runs the website. Companies contact them for advertising and they give away free product. They give away really nice things and I go there every day. I haven't won anything yet, but you never know. You should check it out!

The Park

Landen and I went to Beus Pond today. He loved the swings and playground. He wants so badly to be big and play with the other kids. He got pretty mad at me when I wouldn't let him climb up onto the slide after he watch some other kids do it. So, after attempting the playground for a while we fed the ducks and walked around the pond. It was a nice little outing.

The Zoo!

On Saturday we went to the zoo. We couldn't let the nice weather pass us up, and it was the first day off Rob had had in about a month. Landen really loved the zoo. He kept trying to talk to the other kids around us, and by the end he was interested in the animals as well.

The elephants were just about the first thing we went to, and he really liked watching them.

Playing at Grandma and Grandpa's!

Landen played at my parents' house for the first time in a few days. He was quite excited to have other toys to play with. These are just a few of the pictures that my dad took while Landen was playing.

Landen is getting pretty good at walking. Today he walked behind this hippo that his Aunt Karen gave him. He loved it! Most of the pictures I took didn't turn out because Landen was just a blur. When he ran into something he would cry until we moved him so he could continue. It was really quite cute!

I need some help!!!

I'm going crazy! Landen will not sleep during the day. A couple of weeks ago he was taking one morning nap, and one two hour nap from 12-2, and he was sleeping 10 1/2 hours at night (which is a marathon for him). Life was good. This last week, it is like he has forgotten how to sleep. So, he just screams in his crib for hours. I'm losing my mind!!! It is so bad that I actually left one of my GAS burners on ALL NIGHT!! The only reason we caught it is because the people up stairs smelled gas. We hadn't noticed it because the flame had gone out. So gas leaked into our house all night long. I don't know how much of this I can take! Does ANYONE have ANY suggestions?

Morning Hair

Landen gets some pretty good morning hair going on sometimes. It's pretty cute.

So much hair!

Landen has so much hair that I have to do it every morning. I have to actually get it wet, put detangler in it, comb it, and blow dry it. So, he sits on the washer while I do all of this to him. He is a pretty good sport about it since he loves the blow dryer. After it is all done, he looks so cute. I love how curly the back of his hair is.

Sesame Street!

We recently bought the 25th celebration dvd of Sesame Street. It is a musical celebration and has all the old songs on it too. For instance, "It's not easy being green", "C is for cookie", "Rubber Duckie", and so on. He really enjoys watching it and I can't get him to sit to watch. Since he began walking around furniture that is all he wants to do. He loves standing at the tv and watching cartoons. I like it too because it gives me just enough time to get some little things done.

This is what happens when you turn your back

Landen found where we keep our Liahona's and Ensign's. Needless to say, that Liahona is a goner! We kept the remnants of this Liahona just in case he decides to go on a rampage again. We put it right in front so he won't get to any other magazines.

Landen recently rediscovered his bouncer. He wouldn't rest until I put him in it.

Now, he loves it! I don't know if it is relaxing because it is basically a vibrating recliner, or if it is just something new, but he likes being in it. It's just kind of funny that he likes it now because, he hated it when he would fit in it. He would tolerate it for about 5 maybe 10 minutes if I was really lucky. But now he will play with it for about 25 minutes.

I took a page out of Katie's book and put Landen in the laundry basket while I unloaded the dryer. He loved it and now he loves the basket too. It gets hard entertaining a baby that won't take any naps, so thanks for the tip Katie!

Christmas!

I just have a few pictures of Landen on Christmas morning. He loves the toy that Santa brought him. He can pull himself up on it (which he is doing lately) and if he touches pretty much anything it plays music. It is also helping him learn how to walk while holding onto something. Christmas was great even though most of it was spent without Rob (he had to work).

Lovin Bath Time

With recent events, Landen has to take at least two baths a day. It is a VERY good thing that he loves his bath! When he sees his tub heading towards the kitchen, he knows he is about to get in the tub. He will crawl his way into the kitchen and talk to us until he is finally put in the tub. It is the cutest thing. Then he has this duck that he will dip in the water and put in his mouth. After about 5 - 10 minutes of dipping the duck and chewing, I finally take him out and the fit begins. Bathtime has become a very eventful moment in our home.

The Christmas Tree

Tonight we decorated Landen's first Christmas Tree. The first time I turned on the lights, he was in awe. He was very entertained while we put up all the ornaments, and then he just wanted to touch everything. We are so excited to celebrate this season with Landen, even if he won't remember a thing.
