I need some help!!!

I'm going crazy! Landen will not sleep during the day. A couple of weeks ago he was taking one morning nap, and one two hour nap from 12-2, and he was sleeping 10 1/2 hours at night (which is a marathon for him). Life was good. This last week, it is like he has forgotten how to sleep. So, he just screams in his crib for hours. I'm losing my mind!!! It is so bad that I actually left one of my GAS burners on ALL NIGHT!! The only reason we caught it is because the people up stairs smelled gas. We hadn't noticed it because the flame had gone out. So gas leaked into our house all night long. I don't know how much of this I can take! Does ANYONE have ANY suggestions?

every baby is so different and they all go through different phases. Does he fall asleep in the car- I used to drive parker around till he fell asleep and then just brought my book with me & read while he slept. Right now I have to sit and hold him and we watch cartoons until he calms down enough to go to sleep. I'm not a big fan of the crying for hours till they fall asleep- only because as they get older I worry that they become afraid of their crib & going to sleep. I let Parker cry for about 20 min and if he's not asleep I get him and rock him or sit on the couch with him. But ultimatly you are the mom and you know your little Landen better than anyone. I am definatly no expert - but those are some of my personal ideas. Good luck and let me know if you need a break during the day, i'd love to come over and help. I'm so sorry- being a mom can really be the pits sometimes.

I know this is no help as of the problem right now. But it probably is just a faze he is going through. Hopefully not a long one, but I know my kids were always pretty good sleepers and every now and then they would just hit a little stump in the road where they would not sleep worth anything. And yes it is very tiring and frustrating! I know that doesn't solve the problem for you right now, but atleast you can have some hope it won't last forever! He hasn't been sick has he? Let me know if I can do anything for you. It's important to take care of yourself too! I tried calling you back call me when you get a chance:)

Tiffany...does he have his teeth yet? Or getting his eye teeth, they are always worse coming in? Easton was always a horrible sleeper when he was teething. It seemed like I had a whole different baby at the time. Also one great trick that worked for me was putting music in Easton's room while he slept during the day...just some sort of CD or soft music. It seemed like he was wanting noise or something while he slept and this did the trick. Hopefully you get some relief soon!!!
