Christmas Fun!

So I let Rob open his Christmas present tonight because he has to work on Christmas day and the day after. So I figured this way he would get some good playing time in before Christmas. Well....it turned out I was wrong! Here's a little tip: if your toddler knows what Guitar Hero is, and you buy it for your husband, buy two guitars. Landen wouldn't let anyone else play the game without a big fit. Needless to say, we will be going to Walmart tomorrow to purchase a second guitar so Rob can play in peace.

Landen chillin' in his baby bouncer (he loves it) with HIS guitar.

He might be a pain, but his is soooo cute! He is getting so big, so fast.

We went to the Christmas Village in Ogden a few days ago and Landen loved looking at all the houses. He wasn't able to move around to much, but he was warm and had fun.

It's a crazy life!!!

Many of you may not know, but Rob and I recently moved. Like last Saturday! We moved 7 blocks north. We are now living just off Monroe on 41st street. It is above ground, big windows, bigger apartment. We love it and Landen points at the windows every morning wanting me to open them. It was kind of a rough process on the poor guy. He didn't know what was going on and he was very nervous about where his stuff was going. But he has adapted and loves the new place.
In other news, we are pregnant. Our new little one is due on May 31st and we are excited. I am very very nervous about having two kids. Landen is busy enough for me, but I'm excited for him to have a friend to play with.

Halloween Fun!

We have been having a lot of fun lately. Today we went to Thanksgiving Point for the Cornbelly festival. There is so much to do there that Landen didn't get bored the whole time we were there. They had this huge "Jumping Pillow". It was really cool and Landen really liked it.

There was also a tunnel on a hill that he could have played in for hours.

We also found this huge rocking chair that they use for storytime. He loves the rocking chair at home, so when he saw this he had to sit.

Then there was a slide mountain. It had all different kinds of big slides. He really enjoyed going down them with his dad and my sister Michelle.

The best part of the day however, was this contraption. You had to pull levers and little bits of water would shoot out from all over. He loved this and couldn't get enough. Dad and grandpa were brave enough to walk him over there to pull some levers. He loved it.

Last weekend we went to the "Wee Witches Weekend" at Gardner Village. This was also very fun. There were lots of shops to go into and kids everywhere. This is a picture when we were really close to leaving. As you can see he is probably thinking "Are we done yet?"

They also had a petting zoo. He was very excited about being that close to animals. They had a horse, pigs, and lots of goats to touch.

This is probably the best picture. He has got his "I can't believe you are making me sit here." face on. Oh the things we put our kids through!

Just a few things

Landen's favorite room in my parents house is my sister Michelle's room. There are lots of bright colors, a tv and dvd player on his level, and this big monkey. He turns on the dvd player, the tv, and then sits back and watches Nemo. (only for a few minutes, but it is still cute.)

We went to a Weber State football game a couple of weeks ago. After we bought this jersey for Landen, one of the football team members took it to practice and had it signed. We know it isn't necessarily worth anything, but it is still cute. We had a lot of fun at the game and are excited to go again soon.

Landen got his picture taken at my mom's school today. He looked so cute dressed up, I decided to take a few pictures of my own. These are just in our back yard. He looks adorable!

Cough Drops are NOT Candy!

So, Rob has been sick lately and had some cough drops on his night stand. This morning Landen would not leave them alone! He kept bringing one to me begging for me to open it. After a few fits, I decided to show him what I meant. So, I unwrapped one and put it in his mouth. About two seconds into his victory he pulled a face of pure disgust and and spit out the "candy." He then wipped his tongue for about 2 minutes. I could not stop laughing. I hope that he has finally learned that the cough drops on daddy's table aren't candy!

Always busy..

We have been sooo busy. And while we have been everywhere, our computer had some issues. But everything is good now thanks to Rob's continous efforts! So, beware the long post...
First, we went to the Aeospace Museum. Landen loved being that close to the airplanes. He can spot an airplane that is as big as a dot in the sky. He loves them. So to be so close you can actually touch them, he was in heaven!

Landen also got a haircut thanks to Kristen. She did a great job. I put a little bit of gel and hairspray in it to see how it turned out. I think it turned out adorable!

We have also been to the dinosaur park. We forgot the stroller so he had to walk around everywhere. But I don't think he minded. He found railings...

puddles...

and occasionally some dinosaurs. It was a lot of fun!

The Ultimate Time-Out

Landen has been spending a lot of time in time-out due to some throwing issues. How do you teach a toddler not to throw everything in sight??? One day, Rob put him at the bottom of the stairs thinking that it might feel like a little jail to him. He slid down one more stair so he was sitting on the floor, under the gate. I tried to get him out, and he wanted nothing to do with it. He was having to much fun. Here are some pics of the event!

So busy!!!

Sorry! I have been so busy lately. Between keeping up with Landen, Rob changing jobs, and BYU Idaho Education Week, I haven't had a moment to breathe! BYU Idaho Education Week was so much fun!! Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures. I was really busy with going to some very uplifting classes and enjoying my break from home. It was really hard to leave Landen and Rob for four days, but it was really worth it. When I came home, I was fresh and ready to go. It was a much needed break. As for life with a toddler, here are some pictures to show you how life is...

Landen has really taken a love to the Itouch that Rob was given. He knows how to unlock it, get into games, and now he loves listening to music on it. If you know Rob, you will know Landen is taking after his daddy. You don't very often see Rob without an Ipod of some kind.

Landen has also taken a liking to the game cube. Rob doesn't really play it that often, but every time Rob does get it out, Landen loves to join in. We have even let him play by himself a couple of times. He loves it.

And this is after Landen has eaten an Oreo cookie. This is just about as messy as it gets. This and mac-n-cheese is pretty messy. But he loves them.

Such a big helper!

So this last week, Landen has been helping with some chores around Grandma and Grandpa Toponce's house. He helped wash Michelle and Braydon's (Michelle's "Friend") cars.

And he helped water the flowers. What is more fun than water during the summer?

Swimming!

Landen got this way sweet pool from my parents for his birthday, and we just broke it out for the first time last week. Landen's cousins Jarom and Kai came to play, with some of their cousins. It was a lot of fun!

But I'm a big boy mom!

Landen has become quite an independent spirit! He wants to do everything himself, including eating yogurt!

He really wasn't doing to bad at this point...

Then he decided there was a quicker way to get the yogurt out....
And here is how it turned out. By the time he was done, there wasn't a place on his body that didn't have yogurt on it. Thank goodness we were at Rob's parents house, so we could just throw him in the bathtub.

The Cabin!

Every year we go to a cabin with some friends and here are just a few pictures from this year's trip.

Tyler was so good to play with the kids. They loved watching him play video games. Most the time they got in the way, but Tyler was a good sport.

There is a pond just down the hill from the cabin and we went froggie hunting. We did end up finding one frog. But it got away before I could take a picture of it.

Clara is about 6 months older than Landen, but they had a good time playing together. Johnny is teaching them how to fake laugh. They really enjoyed it.

Where did May go???

May just flew by! Between Landen turning one, swim lessons, and Kristen getting married in 9 days, we have been very busy! Not to mention, I had my last day of work on May 29th. That's right, I no longer clean toilets!!!!!! I'm just excited to get summer going, that is after the wedding. But, here are just a few pics from recent events.

One night Rob and I rented Yes Man with Jim Carrey. We tried a few times to put Landen down to sleep with extreme failure. So I decided to have him sit on my lap until he fell asleep. Well, he didn't. That's right, he watched the entire movie. This is a picture of him walking around in his sleep sack looking just a little like Maggie from the Simpson's. Landen finally went to sleep at midnight after being awake for a total of 10 hours! (By the way, he loves to flush the toilet. Hence the picture.)

Rob's birthday was on Sunday and yesterday we went out to spend his loot. We walked into Fanzz "Just to look" and walked out with too Jazz jerseys. The sales lady was really nice to us and gave us a really good discount on both the jerseys. Landen looks absolutely adorable in his jersey. Rob is excited already for the new season.
